Allow Applications to be Installed From Unknown Sources

Like any other Android-based device, Amazon Kindle Fire tablets don’t let you install apps from unknown sources by default. Amazon expects you to use its app platform to download all of the applications you want to install on the tablet.

Thankfully, however, there is an option to allows apps from other sources to be installed.

Step 1: Click the top right corner of the screen and select ‘More’

Step 2: Go to Google and search for ‘dolphin browser apk’ (without quotes)

The file name should be something like ‘Dolphin_Browser_HD_8.5.1.apk’.

Install The Flash Player App 

The installation of the Flash Player app is quite similar to the installation of Dolphin Browser. Like before, you will obtain this installer file with your web browser.

Step 1: Launch the web browser

Step 3: Either choose one of the websites that have the kindle fire flash apk or use the link provided above

Step 4: Once the ‘Download done’ notification shows at the top of the screen, you will be able to install Flash Player on your Kindle Fire by taping the completed file

Install Dolphin Browser on Kindle Fire HDX

This method requires a PC. If you follow the steps below, you will be able to install Dolphin Browser on your Kindle Fire HDX:

Step 1: Go to Settings and scroll down to ‘Allow Installation of Applications’ and turn it on

Step 2: Use the same method above to find the Dolphin Browser APK file, but do this on your PC instead of your Kindle Fire

Step 3: Plug your Kindle Fire HDX into your PC with a USB cable

Step 4: Your Kindle Fire HDX should show up ass a mass storage device. Drag the downloaded APK file from Step 2 into the ‘Download’ folder on your tablet.

Step 5: Search for ‘ES File Explorer’ in Google Play, download, and install it.

Step 6: Open ES File Explorer and navigate to the ‘Download’ folder

Step 7: Tap the Dolphin Browser APK file to install it.
