One factor you might consider before playing a game is how long it would take to beat. This can tell you about how much time you would need to spend on it to enjoy it all.

The amount of time that it takes to beat Persona 2 can vary. It will change based on what you want to do in the game. 

If you just want to beat the main story, it will take an average of 35 hours to do so. If you want to beat the main story plus all extras, it will take you 48 hours. Or if you want to do everything in the game, you will need to spend about 50 hours on it.

Does Persona 2 have romance?

Does Sony own Persona?

But all of this may make you wonder whether Sony owns the Persona franchise. It does not. The game’s developer, Atlus, is currently owned by SEGA. SEGA is its own independent company, not a subsidiary of Sony.

However, SEGA has recently reaffirmed its commitment to making Persona PlayStation exclusives. So you shouldn’t expect to see the game released on XBOX consoles anytime soon.

Do I need to play Persona in order?

Often, RPG games in the same franchise build upon the same storyline. This sometimes means it’s a good idea to play a series of RPG games in the order they were released.

However, this isn’t something that you need to worry about with Persona. The storylines from Persona games are connected to each other in some ways. But they are not direct continuations of one another. So it’s fine to play Persona games out of order if you want.

That being said, you may still prefer to play the Persona games in the order they were released. Doing so may help you to appreciate some of the smaller aspects of the franchise’s storyline. You can decide whether that’s worth it to you or not.

Is Persona 2 Innocent Sin in English?

Persona 2 was originally released in Japanese. But the game can be played with English subtitles. Persona 2 received a fan translation patch to make this possible. So you can play the game on a PS1 emulator and read the dialog in English.

What’s the difference between Persona 2 Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment?

Persona 2 Innocent Sin is the original title that was released globally. Eternal Punishment is essential a part two that follows up where Innocent Sin left off. 

Eternal Punishment was only released in Japan. But you can play the game today via an emulator. A group of fans made a translation patch that even makes it possible to do this in English.

Is Persona 2 Innocent Sin on PS3?

You can buy Persona 2 Eternal Punishment on the PS3 store. However, you can’t buy Innocent Sin via that store. Most people who play Innocent Sin do so via a PSP version.

In fact, it’s recommended that you start with the PSP version of Innocent Sin. Then once you complete that, you can play Eternal Punishment on a PS3 if you want.

It’s also worth mentioning that both of these games are available to play via emulator. So you could also just download the ROMs for these games online and play them that way.
